Faith leaders in New Jersey came together with leaders around the country to plead with Governor Phil Murphy to sign a set of bills designed to protect the rights of immigrants.
They ask Murphy to protect the diverse immigrant community in New Jersey as one of his last acts in office before Mike Sherrill is sworn in Tuesday.
“This is one of those moments when delay becomes its own decision,” the letter said. “New Jersey can choose courage now by signing these bills in full, as-is.”
