ABOUT US

We are New Jersey’s first comprehensive advocacy organization solely dedicated to the proliferation of BLACK WOMEN leaders in New Jersey.

OUR COLLECTIVE VISION

To garner, harness and strengthen the economic, social, and political power of BLACK WOMEN in New Jersey, by directly investing in and advocating for BLACK WOMEN in leadership roles.

OUR COLLECTIVE OBJECTIVES

To increase the presence of BLACK WOMEN in all pipelines of leadership, including private, public, and non-profit sectors.

To increase the presence of BLACK WOMEN on state, local and corporate boards, commissions and authorities.

To raise money in support of progressive BLACK WOMEN candidates for elected office.

To advance the BLACK WOMEN’S economic, social, and political priorities including but not limited to: reproductive rights, expansion of family leave, maternal health, venture financing, and the wage gap.

To provide professional and personal development opportunities to support the retention of BLACK WOMEN in leadership.

OUR COLLECTIVE APPROACH

  • COALITION BUILDING

    Develop a statewide network of BLACK WOMEN, advocates, and partner organizations dedicated to the progression of BLACK WOMEN leaders.

  • FUNDRAISING

    To significantly develop the capacity to financially support BLACK WOMEN in their pursuit of leadership and entrepreneurship.

  • COMMUNITY AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

    Raise public awareness and present recommendations to state legislators for policy changes that advance, protect and secure the rights of BLACK WOMEN.

  • CONVENING

    Host conferences, conversations and round-table discussions on pertinent topics impacting BLACK WOMEN in leadership for the purpose of uplifting and retaining their power.
