Ice hockey fans and supporters of Trenton attended the announcement of name and mascot for the city’s ECHL team. Welcome the Trenton Ironhawks with hopes that this team produces pride for the capital city and delivers revitalization for this area of South Broad Street. Mercer County Executive kept his promise to include Trenton in the team’s name. Cure Insurance Arena will be a perfect home ice venue for our ECHL squad.

Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan caused a viral sensation with his banana secured by duct tape against a wall.

His presentation caused widespread debate about the definition of art. Three original editions of the work initially sold for between $120,000 and $150,000. In November 2024, one edition sold at a Sotheby’s auction for $6.2 million.

A banana taped to the remains of a dead tree outside the Trenton Transit Center may attract attention and move officials to resolve this unfortunate eyesore. Or, maybe someone wants to offer me $100,000 for this L.A. created artwork.

Pardon the self-indulgence — Happy Birthday to me.

Just turned 72 and celebrated with a quick solo getaway to Tampa-St. Petersburg, Florida. Big relaxation and just 40 paces from the beach.

The average age of life expectancy for Black men in the U.S. registers between 69-72 years of age. Hmmm.

Black men face high risks of heart disease, cancer (especially prostate), stroke, diabetes, homicide, suicide (increasing), high blood pressure, hypertension, and other illnesses.

Several of the aforementioned preexisting issues contributed to higher death rates for Blacks during the COVID-19 pandemic. In a post-pandemic world, local and state health departments should feature initiatives that deal with prevention of serious illnesses and disparities in access to quality health care.

Anyway, if you got up this morning, make the most of this gift of life. That’s why right here and now identifies as the present.
