EDISON — The Robbinsville High varsity baseball team braved the cold and wet weather to take part in the Autism Awareness Challenge Saturday.
The Ravens’ game against Middlesex was moved from North Brunswick Community Park to J.P. Stevens High and saw the Blue Jays take a 9-4 victory.
It was R’vile’s second straight loss since its 10-run rule win over Hightstown to start the week.
Head coach Mike Kinsella’s team had an early 2-1 lead, tied the game at 3 in the third, then forged a 4-3 edge in the fourth before Middlesex tied the game at 4 in the fifth. The Blue Jays went on to score five more runs over the next two innings to improve to 5-1.
Robbinsville’s Matt Boss went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a run scored and a run batted in. Middlesex’s Chris Kozak was 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs.

POSTPONEMENTS
Wet weather the last two days wiped out the majority of the local high school schedule.
Friday’s Princeton at Allentown game was moved to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 21.
Saturday’s Hamilton West at Montgomery game was switched to 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19 along with Florence’s game at Bordentown, which will now be an 11 a.m. start in place of the Scotties’ regularly scheduled game with Eastern.
Nottingham’s game with Delran, scheduled to be played at Trenton Thunder Ballpark, was changed to Tuesday, April 22 in place of the Bears’ regularly scheduled game with Hightstown.
Princeton Day School’s non-league game at Manville will now be played May 21.
Hopewell Valley’s non-league home game with Colts Neck was cancelled, while Hun’s Mid-Atlantic Prep League game at Blair Academy was postponed with no new date at this time.
